Our Story
From Humble Beginnings to National Prominence
Pentagon Press LLP began as a one-man endeavour and is today a well-knit professional company symbolizing consistent quality for over two decades. Founded in 1999 by Rajan Arya (current MD and CEO), the company started as a pioneering 'export printing' venture established in 1984, which was the first to print for publishers in the US and UK.
After the Kargil war of 1999, Pentagon Press realized the critical importance of national security awareness and made it a mission to spread knowledge on defence and strategic affairs. This led to a drastic switch from management and IT books to publishing content that focused solely on defence studies and India's geopolitical affairs.

Over the years, Pentagon has carved a niche for itself in an overcrowded market. It has stood out with its distinct titles and subjects, and has found valuable patrons among academia, policymakers, and civil society actors, along with national and international stakeholders.
We are the publishers of choice for major think-tanks in India and some international organizations. Pentagon titles have established an export market in SAARC and ASEAN Countries - a rare feat for an Indian publishing house.
Our Journey
The Foundation
Pentagon Press officially established. After the Kargil war, we realized the importance of national security forces and made it our mission to spread awareness on defence subjects.
First Recognition
Received Best Publishers Award (DBSPA), marking our emergence as a serious player in defence publishing.
Post 9/11 Era
Focus shifted to understanding global terrorism and security challenges. Published extensively on counter-terrorism and asymmetric warfare.
Excellence Milestone
Awarded Best Publishers Award (English) by FPBA, recognizing our contribution to quality defence literature.
China Focus
As China's rise became prominent, we published various books emphasizing understanding India's strategic neighbor and their geopolitical perspectives.
Presidential Honor
Published for Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India. "Thoughts for Change: We Can Do It" became a bestseller, sharing his vision for India 2050.
National Recognition
